Vacancy – Parish Ranger
Job Title: Parish Ranger
Employment Status: Permanent
Salary: LC1 L21 (£20,138) – to L22 (£20660) NEG.
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week
Report to: Parish Clerk / Deputy Clerk
Job Purpose: To provide a visible presence and to offer a point of contact to residents; to monitor and provide low level infrastructure maintenance to all areas that are the responsibility of the Parish Council.
To resolve litter issues and reduce environmental encroachment within the parish ensuring matters are fed back to the appropriate landowners if resolution is not possible.
To assist with the day to day maintenance within Parish Council owned buildings and grounds, including our allotment site.
To establish a strong working relationship with subcontractors working on behalf of Stantonbury Parish Council.
To liaise with Thame Valley Police to help reduce anti-social behaviour, vandalism and other low impact crime, including parking issues.
Must be willing to undertake training in chemical usage as well as basic equipment use.
Must have full/clean driving license – Vehicle will be provided

Vacancy for Part Time Office Manager / Deputy Clerk
Part Time Deputy Clerk (25 hours per week over 5 days)
The Parish Council is seeking to recruit an individual as the Office Manager and to deputise for the Parish Clerk in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the Parish Council.
The Parish Council support team comprises four staff under the Parish Clerk, preparing various documents related to the legal functions of the Council and specific projects related to the expanding role of the Council.
We are looking for an experienced manager with fully competent skills in Microsoft Office, website and social media skills, who will take specific responsibility for all aspects of the office management and electronic media. Evidence supporting these skill requirements will be required prior to interview. A rigorous test component will form part of the interview.
As deputy Parish Clerk you will be required to achieve full qualification as a Clerk. Applicants already pursuing such a career qualification will be seen as an advantage to the Parish.
The salary is negotiable and will be in line with Local Government pay scales including a contributory pension.
