Graham Davison

Chairman

Stantonbury and Linford Wood Ward

I’ve been a long term resident in the Parish (since 1972) and became a Parish Councillor to make sure we, as residents, are fairly represented. I’m married, live and represent Stantonbury and Linford Wood on the Parish Council. My interests are ballroom dancing, magic, reading, and keeping fit. Shortly to retire, I intend to follow my other interest of fishing.

  • Councillors, by Ward

Malcolm Millen

Councillor

Bancroft Ward

I joined Stantonbury Parish Council as the Councillor representing the Bancroft ward in April 2018. I have lived in Bancroft since 2012 and feel very honoured to now be able to serve the community in which I live. From my own personal perspective, I believe that we as a community need to reflect and preserve the original vision for Milton Keynes and protect our open spaces and natural parklands, as these are areas that are vital to combat pollution and enhance our general well-being.

I am very approachable and keen to make a difference for all of us, so please do not hesitate to speak to me if you see me out and about. I can only help if I am made aware of your views and concerns. You can also get ahold of me by email via Bancroft.parishcouncil@gmail.com or through the main Stantonbury Parish Council Office.

Barbara Wright

Councillor

Oakridge Park Ward

When Oakridge Park was in the first stages of planning, I was involved through my role as MK Ward Councillor and kept a very close eye to make sure the needs of the new residents would be catered for. I was apple to supply the developers with some of the names for the roads; Fair Isle View, Aran Court, and Cable Grove were the three I named. I have many friends and folk that I have assisted over the years who were delighted that I stood to represent Oakridge Park on the Stantonbury Parish Council.

There are still many things that need to be finalised and made good. Both the shopping area and Stanton Low Park have brought more traffic, people, and dogs into the area which has given rise to issues that need to be addressed. So, if you have any concerns or need help and advice, please contact me via Stantonbury Parish Council and I will try to work some “Magic”.

David Wright

Councillor

Bradville Ward

I moved to Milton Keynes in 1974 and worked at the Railway Works at Wolverton for many years, and after all this time I still work in the railway industry. I have been involved with Bradville Hall since it was re-invented from the Primrose Sports and Social Club into a community hall in 1999. As a volunteer, I built the front fence to stop children running into the road from the green for safety and I can regularly be found cutting the grass on the sit-on lawn mower.

I believe that Milton Keynes is a good place to live and raise a family and it is worthwhile putting back into the community to make it an even better place. This is why I have been a Parish Councillor since 2013.

Muhammad Abid Anwar

Councillor

Bradville Ward

I have been a local resident of Bradville since December 2014, before moving to Bradville I lived in Wolverton for fourteen years. I am a trained Advocate from the High Court in Pakistan and achieved a Master of Law from Bedford University.

Being a Parish Councillor, my aim is to use my qualifications, experience, and passion to be an effective advocate for the residents and to participate in all council activities.

Peter E Kirkham

Councillor

Bradville Ward

I have lived in Bradville for some 49 years. I’ve been a member of the Stantonbury Parish for 5 years and a Parish Councillor since 2017. I wanted to become a Parish Councillor because at the time, I knew I was nearing retirement and needed something to fill a little of my time up with and as I have always had an interest in the local community, I thought there was no better way than to get involved with local issues.

Being one of the Parish Councillors for the Bradville Ward and living in the ward as well gives me the incentive to try and do as much as I can. As a Parish Councillor, I’ve been asked to deal with grant applications, problems caused by trees, sit on the Neighbourhood Plan committee, look into planning applications, and of course deal with issues that involve the Milton Keynes Council. Currently, we are focusing on vehicles parking on green areas, fly tipping, litter, general parking, North Bradville estate, Bradville Road play area, Bradville Road RedWay security, and general streetlighting. If you have any issues with the above list, please do not hesitate to make contact with the Parish office.

Sara Agintas

Councillor

Bradville Ward

I have lived within the Parish for around 35 years and have 6 children who have all grown up here. I’ve been a Parish Councillor for Bradville nearly 9 years, and can often be seen flying around the Parish on my mobility scooter or litter picking the Bradville area. I have also run a few very successful coach trips for the Parish.

I enjoy meeting people and helping when and where I can. I like giving information and advice to those who need it within our community.

Carol Northwood

Councillor

Stantonbury and Linford Wood Ward

My husband and I have lived in Stantonbury for 40 years and raised our two daughters here. I hope that I will be able to represent the interests of the community in matters that the Parish Council addresses.

Sandra Kennedy

Councillor

Stantonbury and Linford Wood Ward

Born in Liverpool, and a retired teacher, I have lived in the “white houses” on Stantonbury for over 35 years and have been a Parish Councillor since 2004. I have two sons and two grandchildren, all grown up. I have been a Governer at Wood End School for 19 years and am also involved in the Pre School and Children’s Centre.

I am a committed Christian and one of the Leadership Team and Christ Church. I belong to RAFS (both the current Association and the original 90s version) and have roles in the Community Play Project, Age UK Friendship Centre, and ABRA. When not working for the community, I like to relax by exploring the narrow locked parts of the canal system on my small narrowboat Starlight.
