YourMK Regeneration Engagement Process Starts on Fullers Slade
YourMK has commenced the engagement process on Fullers Slade, talking to residents, tenants, landlords and others about the regeneration of their area.
The team from YourMK met residents on Fullers Slade last weekend at an event organised by the local residents association. Almost 100 people spoke to the team and the expert master planners from Shepheard Epstein Hunter working with them. People were overwhelmingly optimistic about the planned regeneration and looking forward to the positive changes it will bring.
This is just the first of a series of opportunities for local people to get involved and give their opinions and ideas about regeneration.
This year YourMK will starting working with residents, homeowners and other stakeholders in Bradville to develop the regeneration plan for the area. In the next few months we will be writing to let you know all the key information, dates and contact details.

We may be out and about over the next few months talking to you about regeneration, but until we have any dates confirmed, please see below the overall timeline.
|Summer 2018||Launch events and running workshops with residents about what regeneration is and how to get involved.
A Residents Steering Group (RSG) will be set up and an Independent Resident Advisor will be selected by residents at a community vote.
|Autumn 2018||Creating design options and plans with residents. This includes running co-design workshops and exhibitions and visiting areas to look at different types of design.|
|Summer 2019||Vote on regeneration options. Residents living in the regeneration area will vote for their preferred plan.|
|Late 2019||The chosen plan will be submitted for outline planning approval|
Does YourMK have a plan already drawn up?
No. The plan will be developed with residents, homeowners and other stakeholders. The plan may include demolition and redevelopment, or it may include refurbishment and some infill development. The details of this will be decided with you.
How long will it all take?
Workshops and events will begin in summer 2018. This will last around a year. During this time you will be able to work with architects to shape the plan and decide what is needed. If there is any physical work, nothing will start before 2020.
How will the plans be agreed?
We will hold a vote where residents living in the regeneration area will be able to choose which option they want to see delivered. All of the options for ballot will be developed with residents in the co-design sessions we run and all will need to be financially deliverable.
